The Dyson V8 is the winner here. It has a far larger capacity than the Xiaomi, and Dyson’s wider suction tubes also make clogging less likely.
Run-time & recharging
Running out of battery during a clean is the stuff of nightmares for any part-time cleaner. It means you will be waiting hours for a full recharge. Xiaomi’s Roidmi F8 wins here offering around 50 minutes of cleaning time as compared to the Dyson V8 providing roughly 40 minutes.

Dyson’s vacuums are renowned for their loud colours and unique design which make them stand out from the crowd. The bright exterior of the V8 is no different. This one boils down to personal preferences and perhaps the overall theme of your home.
Price & cost effectiveness
The Roidmi is a significantly cheaper option than almost any Dyson product in the market today. The F8 comes in at a very reasonable S$325, which is an excellent price for its features. Even though it is an older model, the Dyson V8 costs nearly double, at S$598.
At face value, it seems that Xiaomi is the clear winner in this category. But, Dyson’s cordless vacuums come with a two-year warranty with contact centres and stores throughout Singapore. On the other hand, the F8 comes with a one-year warranty but with one enormous caveat. There are no service centres in Singapore which will make repairing broken products particularly tricky.
Other features
Both models come with a wall-mounted charging dock that makes them part of the furniture in any household. They also come with a variety of different attachments and tools to provide a deeper clean, including a crevice tool, and a combo tool. Xiaomi provides a powered pet tool while Dyson includes a mini motorized tool.
The scales tip slightly in favour of Xiaomi for tech lovers as they have an app which details battery life, suction rate, and a range of other stats.

Both brands offer high-quality products that will help get your house clean. They come with a range of accessories and features. It’s hard to determine a clear winner in this case.
